Those who grew up watching cartoons like the Flintstones dreamed of finding a place like Bedrock in real life. And Dinotown was the closest thing to that for a lot of 80s and 90s kids.

Dinotown
The dinosaur themed park was located on Highway 1 at Bridal Falls, just east of Chilliwack. Originally named Bedrock City, it ran from 1975 to 2010.
Attractions included cement dinosaurs, a slide-a-saurus, hand-powered bumper cars and a Jurassic exhibit that was on loan from the popular paleontology museum in Drumheller, Alberta—the Royal Tyrrell Museum.
It also had a White Spot restaurant in 2000, that was appropriately called White Spot Dinersaurus.
They did try to recreate the magic from 2011 onward, by opening some temporary Dinotown exhibits in the area. It had some brief stints at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds in 2012 and again at Bridal Falls in 2013. A Dinotown exhibit opened at Cultus Lake across from the water park during the Summers of 2014-2017.
But none of the locations could quite compare to the original. Chances are if you grew up around the Lower Mainland, you spent many warm Summer days at the park. Or at the very least, remember driving past it.
The 18-acre space that was once home to the original dinosaur park is now the site of an RV park.
