Vancouver’s Spring just isn’t the same without a visit to our iconic amusement park.
Playland will reopen its doors on May 18th. Welcoming back visitors for another year of thrills and excitement that Playland is famous for.
This year, Playland will be hosting 2 special themed nights, along with launching their brand new roller coaster in July.

Playland Reopening 2024
The park will operate on select dates between May 16 and August 16th. From May to June, it will be open on the weekends. From July to August, it will be open from Wednesdays to Sundays, including Friday and Saturday evenings.
Per usual, visitors can experience over 35 rides and attractions, including roller coasters, thrill rides, family-friendly rides, games, and food stalls.
In addition to its attractions, Playland is also known for its food offerings. The park offers a range of classic carnival fare, such as mini donuts, hot dogs, cotton candy, and popcorn, as well as more substantial options like burgers, pizza, and poutine.

2024 Themed Nights
Eras Night (June 15)
Prepare for an enchanting evening at Playland as they present Playland Eras Night, a Taylor Swift-themed event where you have the chance to WIN TICKETS TO SEE TAYLOR SWIFT IN CONCERT!
Dress to impress in sparkles and sequins; guests are encouraged to embrace the glittery spirit of the night. Then immerse yourself in Taylor Swift’s greatest hits echoing throughout the park as you experience exhilarating rides.
Exclusive to this event:
- Limited edition DIY Friendship Bracelets
- Live performances by a Taylor Swift Drag Queen Impersonator
- Glitter Mini Donuts
- Special glitter themed cocktail featuring vodka, club soda, pink glitter dust, lime, and a cotton candy topper, or opt for a refreshing mocktail made with watermelon juice, ginger ale, and lime juice.

19+ Night (June 29)
This exclusive adult-only event, catering to those aged 19 and above, offers attendees the opportunity to embrace their youthful spirit without the presence of children.
Moreover, guests can enjoy Playland under the stars, accompanied by fantastic music. In addition, entry also includes a complimentary drink, and since the event is fully licensed, attendees have the freedom to enjoy their favorite beverages anywhere onsite, with a few exceptions.

New Roller Coaster Launching in July
Last year, two iconic rides, Drop Zone and Revelation, were removed to make way for a brand-new launch roller coaster. Now, this year, we’ll finally see it in action!
The new ride, ThunderVolt, is said to be the fastest launch coaster in Canada. Additionally, the $9 million ride is expected to be a thrilling addition to the park’s collection. Furthermore, it promises to offer riders a heart-pumping experience.
